I met Taki in 2007 and formed a wonderful relationship. One of the most thoughtful, kindest people you could meet. Cheeky too!
We went on a car rally in 2008 and won. We still don't know how, but we did.
Some of the 'blokes' on the car rally were from OutWest Men. Hmmmm.
A very proud Taki and his new red Peugeot in 2009. It really was a great looking automobile.
Perhaps the Peugeot wasn't enough? He tried out for the big V8's at Calder but umm....err....failed.
Great friends for probably 35 years, Lola & Peter. I first met them through Bonsai and our friendship has sustained over all this time.
My dearest friends from way back in 1970, Russell & Len. Sadly, Russell passed away after a long illness and it seemed like the end of an era.
This history wouldn’t be complete without my wonderful Gray St neighbours, Denis & Jim. Great friends, great fun.
2008 and Bali beckoned again. We stayed at the beautiful Cicada Villas and had a fantastic time.
The main pool. All 6 villas had their own pools.
Our villa's living room
Looking past our plunge pool into our living room
Near Ubud and those amazing ricefields
Taki LOVES his chillis.
Japan beckoned for our holiday in 2007. I had been many years earlier with the Bonsai people but this was a good chance to explore on our own. Here we are at the Golden Pavillion. Breathtaking.
If you don't love sushi, you really should try it in Japan.
Beautiful Japan. Sometimes crazy, sometimes quiet, always clean.
Tokyo Disneyland was the same as everywhere else. Except crazy!
Christmas at JJs at Crown has always been a favourite. But we move around a bit now.
I love gardening and Taki's house had an enormous block with not much in the way of garden. Lookout world!
My sister & my Mum in 2002. I think this was Mother’s Day before we were going out to lunch.
2003. Mother's Day at the Yarraville Club. Mum was pretty pleased with herself. She won the raffle.
Mum passed away in 2004. A good life. Party on, Betty!
Christmas in Gray Street and Miss L. Toe made an appearance.
Here she is in all her glory.
We love a street party in Gray Street Yarraville. Especially Christmas for the kids.
Guess who got to play Father Christmas at our street parties? I guess I had the right build.
A very peaceful weekend trip to Walhalla. My Nana was born there.
So...we went fishing at a farm
I couldn't believe how easy it was to catch salmon and rainbow trout...
But what I didn't see were the prices for the fish you caught (no throwing back). We had to pay over $350 for our morning's catch! OUCH!!
Lakes Entrance is a beautiful spot.
Pretty, with lots of things to see and do.
